"Cabaret Night this Friday will be the Asher's last dinner at Foxcliff"
The Manor House Committee was informed last night that Jared and Gina Asher will no longer be able to serve us with their great food at the Manor House. They have also decided to leave the catering business altogether which we are sure is a severe blow to their previous expectations. The main reason for ceasing operations as a caterer is that Gina was recently diagnosed with a rather debilitating medical problem that will force her to cease being a key partner in their family operation. A secondary reason is that Jared will soon be starting a new position in his current day job that will require a lot more traveling which would have forced even more work onto Gina if they had continued.
We are all saddened by the discovery of her medical problems and the fact that they can no longer serve the citizens of our Foxcliff Community.
So if you had not yet decided to attend "Cabaret Night" this Friday evening, you might want to consider going ahead with a reservation today so you can say farewell and good fortune to a fine couple who have blessed us with their culinary expertise since the first of the year. Please drop a check off at the FECA Office made out to Kicked-Up-Catering in the amount of $17/per person.
Sabrena Smith,
FECA General Manager

For those of you who didn’t get the recording on your phone from Mapleturn Utilities, Mapleturn plans to flush their water lines Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, August 10th -12th. They recommend conserving water during that time and avoid doing laundry.
The Lake’s Committee is trying something different this year for boat stickers. If you have a Foxcliff boat sticker from any year, you do not need another one. However, you need to purchase two sets of 3” block number stickers from a local store that represent your lot number. Place your lot number stickers on both sides of your boat near the front next to the Foxcliff stickers. If you have a new boat or have never had Foxcliff stickers, they are available in the office upon request. Please call the office if you have any questions 342-4800.
The pool opened this past weekend with a great turn out. However, the Pool Manager did note that some individuals carried some beer into the pool area. Please remember that alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into the Pool/Manor House area. The pool is here for everyone to enjoy and actions such as this could jeopardize the operation of the pool! The pool hours are Monday-Saturday and Holidays 11:00am – 6:00pm Sundays Noon-6:00pm.
Hopefully you’ve noticed over the past several years individuals picking up trash along Mapleturn. These people don’t get paid for picking up others litter, they volunteer in order to keep the neighborhood a beautiful place. Each year, they give a few hours of their time to accomplish this task. Tons of cans, bottles, and fast food debris has been picked up over the years by these wonderful volunteers. In July 2001, Foxcliff North entered into an agreement with the Morgan County Highway Department to pick up trash along the two-mile section of Mapleturn Road between Old 37 and Blue Bluff Road. Bruce Ewing and Hector Flores have worked together over the past 9 years to organize this group and to see that the clean-up gets done. Unfortunately, they are ready for a break and would like to find replacements for themselves. If you have a concern with the beauty and environment of the neighborhood, we are asking that you step up and volunteer to chair this committee. More information on the program can be obtained in the office or by contacting Bruce Ewing or Hector Flores.
